New Creations Community Outreach (formerly TOP) PDF Print E-mail

New Creations Community Outreach (formerly known as TOPS, Transition of Prisoners) main focus is in assisting men and women in the transition from prison back into the community. Their ministry intervenes in the lives of prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families, and has proven highly successful compared with other programs. The recidivism rate for those in the program at New Creations Community Outreach is just 18 percent, compared to a national average of 65 percent.

The Lighthouse provides food, clothing, and shelter to the less fortunate people of the community. Year-round, they offer a noontime soup kitchen, which provides a meal and a place to get out of the elements. They also operate a warming center from December through March,  providing an evening meal and a warm place to sleep. On-site is a clothing closet where people can donate or receive articles of clothing for the entire family.

Brown's helps and ministers to their community in so many ways, from feeding the hungry in the neighborhood to providing clothing and toiletries; from offering summer activities for children and young adults to witnessing in the area with singing and sharing tracts.
