St. Michael Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or religion, and is open to any child who wants to attend. During our registration period, first priority is given to our existing students and their siblings. After a two week period of time, open registration will begin, which is handled on a first - come, first - served basis. St. Michael Christian School may limit the number of students who may attend our school. If more registrations are received than the number of openings, a waiting list will be started. Class placement will be determined by the Director with

Christ centered education – The “Concordia Publishing House” study series is incorporated into the curriculum and combined with a weekly Chapel Service led by the Pastoral Staff. Faith becomes an integral part of each student’s life. Very low teacher/student ratio – Our teacher/student ratios typically are 1:12 Elementary and 1:7 Preschool. Highly Academic Curriculum – Combining the same textbooks and materials used in the public schools with additional resources and smaller class size, our curriculum exceeds the State of Michigan Guidelines and objectives for Schools. Art, Music, Physical Education, and Computer Skills are an integral part of our curriculum. Our students have demonstrated strong MEAP results. We are a member of the Plymouth Arts Council. Theme based Early Childhood Program – Our preschool program is a theme based integrated early childhood program designed to meet a child’s needs in all areas of child development. We provide a nurturing and caring environment where children can thrive. Effective Whole Child Development – Whether Preschool, Young Fives, Kindergarten, or Elementary School, our program is designed to meet the educational and social needs of each individual student in all areas of development. |

We have been providing a Christian based education since 1988 and currently offer Preschool for children ages 3-4, Young Fives, Kindergarten, and Elementary. We provide our students with a variety of educational field trips and after school programs, including Science Club and Chess and Checkers. A Latchkey program is provided before and after school for Elementary students. We are located inside St. Michael Lutheran Church in Canton at Sheldon and Warren Roads. |
